Interlock Plumbing Terms of service

Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: February 12, 2026

1. Scope of Services
Interlock Plumbing provides professional residential and commercial plumbing services, including but not limited to plumbing repairs, installations, water heater services, drain cleaning, leak detection, fixture installation, certified backflow testing, boiler certification, maintenance, inspections, and emergency plumbing services.

2. Estimates & Pricing
All estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Because plumbing systems are often concealed behind walls, floors, ceilings, or underground, unforeseen conditions may be discovered once work begins.

Should additional repairs or services become necessary due to hidden damage, deteriorated piping, code violations, or other unforeseen conditions, Interlock Plumbing will notify the customer and obtain approval before performing additional work.

Unless otherwise stated, estimates are valid for 30 days.

3. Payments
Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless prior written arrangements have been made.

We accept:

Cash
Check
Major Credit & Debit Cards
Returned checks are subject to applicable bank fees.

Accounts that become past due may incur late charges, collection costs, attorney's fees, and any other remedies permitted under California law.

4. Scheduling & Cancellations
Customers are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling appointments.

Appointments canceled without sufficient notice or missed appointments may be subject to a service call or trip charge.

5. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure services can be completed safely and efficiently, customers agree to:

Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
Remove personal belongings from the immediate work area when possible.
Ensure utilities such as water, electricity, or gas are available when required.
Secure pets during the service appointment.
Interlock Plumbing is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or unsafe working conditions.

6. One-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty
Interlock Plumbing proudly stands behind the quality of our workmanship.

All qualifying new plumbing installations are backed by a One (1) Year Limited Workmanship Warranty beginning on the date of installation.

If a defect results solely from our workmanship during the warranty period, Interlock Plumbing will inspect the installation and, if covered, repair the workmanship at no additional labor cost.

Manufacturer Warranties
Fixtures, water heaters, plumbing equipment, and other products are covered only by their respective manufacturer's warranties.

Interlock Plumbing is not responsible for manufacturer defects but will assist customers with warranty claims whenever possible.

Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:

Pre-existing plumbing conditions.
Existing leaks, deteriorated piping, corrosion, or system failures.
Plumbing not installed by Interlock Plumbing.
Customer-supplied fixtures, appliances, or materials.
Repairs or alterations performed by another contractor after our work has been completed.
Drain stoppages caused by grease, roots, wipes, hygiene products, foreign objects, or misuse.

Water pressure fluctuations or poor water quality.
Normal wear and tear.
Lack of maintenance.
Cosmetic issues that do not affect system performance.
Damage caused by abuse, misuse, negligence, or accidental damage.
Warranty coverage applies only to the original installation performed by Interlock Plumbing.

7. Warranty Claims
Customers must notify Interlock Plumbing as soon as a warranty concern is discovered.

Interlock Plumbing must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct the issue before another contractor performs repairs.

Repairs completed by another contractor without prior authorization may void this warranty.

8. Backflow Testing & Boiler Certification
Backflow testing and boiler certification are performed according to applicable local regulations and certification requirements.

Interlock Plumbing cannot guarantee that an existing backflow assembly or boiler will pass inspection if defects, age-related wear, improper installation, corrosion, or code violations are present.

Repairs required to bring equipment into compliance are not included unless specifically stated in the estimate.

9. Permits & Inspections
Permit fees, inspection fees, and governmental charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise included in the written estimate.

Inspection scheduling may vary depending on the local jurisdiction.

10. Customer-Supplied Materials
Interlock Plumbing cannot guarantee or warranty materials, fixtures, or equipment supplied by the customer.

Labor associated with customer-supplied materials is covered only under our workmanship warranty.

Additional labor resulting from defective or incompatible customer-provided products may be billed accordingly.

11. Limitation of Liability
Interlock Plumbing is not responsible for:

Hidden plumbing defects.
Existing code violations.
Structural damage discovered during plumbing work.
Mold, asbestos, lead paint, or hazardous materials.
Damage caused by aging plumbing systems.
Property damage resulting from pre-existing plumbing failures.
Delays caused by utility companies, manufacturers, suppliers, inspectors, or circumstances beyond our control.
To the fullest extent permitted under California law, Interlock Plumbing's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services performed.

12. Emergency Services
Emergency service requested outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be subject to additional service charges.

13. Photography & Documentation
Interlock Plumbing may photograph work areas before, during, and after service for documentation, quality control, warranty records, and insurance purposes. Customer information and identifying details will remain confidential and will not be used for advertising without the customer's permission.
